CALL FOR MANAGERS, DESIGNERS & TECHNICIAN
Indigenous Performing Arts NL (IPANL) is hiring the following for their Year of the Arts project NSITUNINAL: OUR VOICES, a seven-person show incorporating theatre, dance, drumming and singing that is touring the Arts and Culture Centres located on the island of Ktaqmkuk (now known as Newfoundland) and Labrador in October 2024:
IPANL is an expectant PACT affiliate member company that operates under the DOT (Dance, Opera, Theatre) Agreement in Region 8. Both Equity and Non-Equity stage managers as well as ADC and non-ADC designers are welcome to apply. Competitive wages that meet or exceed national standards will apply. Travel expenses for out-of-province participants can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis starting with a minimum guarantee of compensation for round-trip airfare to St. John’s. Rehearsals begin in September 2024 and the tour runs from October 6-18, with 6-7 performance stops.
IPANL operates as a non-profit organization with a mandate to create, support, and present Indigenous stories in the area now known as Newfoundland and Labrador. Accordingly, applicants are asked to clearly identify their community affiliation or to highlight their demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Indigenous culture, traditions, and practices.
